stripping diapers

Q:  I used a soap that contained enzymes, and it gave my daughter a nasty rash. Do you know how to get rid of this problem?

A:  Wash the diapers several times in hot water with NO soaps of any kind added to the water.  Make sure they go through a good rinse each time.  If you look in the machine when it’s on the wash agitation cycle and you see any soap bubbles then you’ll need to finish that wash cycle and do another wash cycle.  It’s called “stripping” the diapers of any residue or harsh chemicals the soap may have left behind.  Once your wash water is clear during the agitation cycle then they should be good to go again.
