changing covers

Q:  I purchased some diapers, covers and liners at sweet cheeks and love them! They are so soft on my babies sensitive skin and very absorbent.  I just had a quick question about the diaper covers. I seem to need to change them every time I change my baby. It is usually damp feeling inside. Do I need to put more layers inside the diaper or (I hope this isn’t the case!) am I just not changing the liners soon enough so that “everything” just becomes too much to absorb?

A:  If the clothing and/or bedding is staying dry then the covers are doing their job and I wouldn’t worry too much.  If you find that they are starting to leak then that means you will need to add more absorbency to the diapers and possibly consider changing the diaper more often (diapers should be changed as soon as they are wet or soiled).  Also, not sure if you’re just changing the liners or the whole diaper but it’s the wholediaper that needs to be changed at each diaper change.
