paying it back…then forward

Recently I was waiting to pull into a drive through lineup to order a cup of coffee and after a few cars (actually quite a few) that refused to let me in (you know those people…the ones who pull up so close to the bumper of the person ahead of them that they’re almost touching because they’re afraid someone will pull in in front of them) there was one woman who waved me in front of her.  When I finished ordering I could hear her ordering her coffee and muffin behind me so when I pulled up to the window I requested the teller to charge me for not only my order but hers as well.  I thought I’d repay her kind deed and let her know it was appreciated.  She’ll never know who I was but who cares?  I found myself paying her kindness forward because I made a definite effort to be kinder to other drivers on the road.  If everyone we came across that day paid it forward can you imagine how many people possibly had a nicer day?  I love the positive ripple effect.  :o)
